Terms & conditions

• All workshop sessions must be booked in advance through the Studio Madrasi website.
• Workshops are available from Wednesday to Sunday, subject to the availability of sessions.
• Most workshops are shared sessions of up to six people. You may book a single place, or several.
• Couple pottery and photoshoot sessions are private: booking one reserves the entire studio for that slot, and no other booking can be taken alongside it. For the same reason, a private session cannot be added to a slot someone else has already booked into.
• A booking is considered confirmed only once the full payment has been successfully received.
• Workshop slots are subject to availability and are confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis.

• Payments can be made securely through the payment options available on our website.
• Online payments are processed through Razorpay, a third-party payment gateway.
• All prices displayed on our website are in Indian Rupees (INR).
• Unless specifically stated otherwise, the prices shown include applicable taxes.

• We understand that plans can change. If you need to cancel your booking, please inform us at least 48 hours before your scheduled session.
• Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the session are eligible for a full refund of the amount paid.
• If you are cancelling more than 48 hours before your session, you may instead ask to move to another date. We will do our best to find a slot, but rescheduling depends on availability and cannot be guaranteed.
• Cancellations or no-shows with less than 48 hours' notice are not eligible for a refund, and cannot be moved to another date.
• Rescheduling requests must be made within 30 days of the original booking date, and the originally preferred date or time may not always be available.

While we make every effort to conduct sessions as scheduled, there may be rare circumstances, such as emergencies or unforeseen studio-related situations, that require us to cancel a session.

In such cases, we will notify you through WhatsApp or the contact details provided at the time of booking.

If Studio Madrasi needs to cancel your session, you may choose between:

• A full refund of the amount paid; or
• Rescheduling your session to another available date.

We apologise in advance for any inconvenience caused in such circumstances and appreciate your understanding.

To help everyone enjoy a comfortable and creative studio experience, we kindly request that participants follow these guidelines:

• Please arrive approximately 10 minutes before your scheduled session so that you have enough time to settle in.
• Aprons will be provided during the workshop. We recommend wearing comfortable clothing that you do not mind getting a little messy.
• Working with clay can be difficult with long nails. For the best experience, we recommend keeping your nails reasonably short.
• To maintain a calm and focused studio environment, we request that participants keep phone calls to a minimum during the workshop.
• Participants are expected to follow the instructions provided by the studio team and use tools and equipment responsibly.
• Participation in workshops is at the participant's own responsibility. Studio Madrasi cannot be held responsible for injuries, loss of personal belongings, or damage resulting from failure to follow reasonable studio instructions.
• Children are welcome in any shared session and do not need a special one — they simply join the group like anyone else. They must remain under the supervision of their accompanying adult at all times.
• Couple pottery and photoshoot sessions are the exception: those are private bookings for the people who booked them.

We may occasionally take photographs or videos during workshops for use on our website, social media platforms, or other promotional materials.

We want everyone to feel comfortable, so if you do not wish to appear in photographs or videos, please let our team know before your session begins.

One of the most exciting parts of working with clay is seeing your handmade piece transform through the firing and glazing process.

• Ceramic pieces generally require between two and four weeks to complete the firing and glazing process.
• The exact completion time may vary depending on kiln schedules, the number of pieces being processed, glazing requirements, and other studio conditions.
• Ceramic firing is an inherent part of the craft and carries certain unavoidable risks. In rare cases, pieces may develop cracks, warping, glaze imperfections, or break during the firing process.
• While we take reasonable care of every piece, Studio Madrasi cannot guarantee that every ceramic piece will survive the firing and glazing process.
• Minor variations in colour, texture, shape, or glaze are natural characteristics of handmade ceramics and should not necessarily be considered defects.

Once your finished piece is ready, we will notify you using the contact details provided during your booking.

• Finished pieces may be collected from the Studio Madrasi studio.
• If you prefer delivery within the city, delivery can be arranged at an additional cost.
• Delivery may be carried out through third-party services such as Porter, Swiggy Genie, or other suitable delivery providers.
• Delivery charges are separate from the workshop fee and will be communicated before the delivery is arranged.
• Once a piece has been handed over to a third-party delivery service, Studio Madrasi cannot be held responsible for delays, mishandling, loss, or damage occurring during transit.
• We recommend handling ceramic pieces with care as they are fragile and can be damaged during transportation.

All materials available on the Studio Madrasi website, including photographs, illustrations, graphics, logos, written content, branding, designs, and other original materials, belong to or are used by Studio Madrasi with appropriate rights.

These materials may not be copied, reproduced, modified, distributed, or used commercially without prior written permission from Studio Madrasi.

Studio Madrasi may occasionally update these Terms & Conditions to reflect changes to our workshops, services, policies, or legal requirements.

Any updated version will be published on this website. Your continued use of our website or booking of our services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms & Conditions.
